Happy Sunday and Happy New Moon!

We have an action packed new Moon in the sign of the Ram, Aries.  This New Moon occurs at 9:57 PM EST tonight- Sunday 4/15.

Aries is the first sign of the zodiac wheel signifying a new cosmic year, a new beginning, a fresh start.

The theme for this particular New Moon is ‘Moving Forward’.

This New Moon also carries with it a close connection to the sign of Pisces, as it is 28 degrees of Aries.

There is a strong air of spirituality at this time, of intuition.

Whispers of the soul are becoming loud and clear.  We are getting ready to take action, to move forth with confidence and conviction.

Even if it takes a little more time, we are getting ready.

Aries falls under the element of Fire which is all about action, passion.  Aries is also a cardinal sign meaning they initiate, they are bold.

This New Moon also coincides with Mercury Retrograde finally turning direct on the same day.  Woop Woop!  Talk about a relief.  We may all start to feel a wee-bit less anxious as the planets chill out a little over the next two weeks. 

New Moons represent new beginnings.

Technically speaking, the New Moon marks the beginning of the lunar cycle, the movement of the moon through its different phases.

The Sun aligns with the Moon in the sky when it’s a New Moon.

Both the Sun and the Moon are in Aries for this Lunation- extra powerful, extra active.

It is a time when creativity peaks, and we desire to manifest the new .

The theme right now is introspection, tapping into and trusting your inner guidance, and making plans to take a leap of faith. 

Let’s talk about Mercury Retrograde for a sec. 

Today Mercury also stations direct -meaning, begins to move in the appropriate direction helping to bring in some much needed clarity.  Phew.  I don’t know about you but this past retrograde was a rough one and I, for one, am very grateful it is outta here!

With Mercury direct at the same time as the New Moon, we are ready to enter into a new cycle of creativity, a new phase, a fresh perspective.

Pay attention to the people that are in your life right now.  The ones that come and go, really pay attention to how you feel around these people.

It is time to trust yourself and even more so, it is time to be true to yourself.  Stand up for yourself where necessary.

Protecting your energy is extremely important at this time, and we often do not realize just how much energy we give away.  Ask yourself if you are giving your energy where it counts the most- to your own soul.  

The most impactful planet to this New Moon is Uranus, the planet of freedom, change and liberation.

This is very optimistic as it allows us the freedom to break away from the constraints of the old, and to really tap into the new with a sense of hope for the future.

Just like the ‘Fool’ in the Tarot, Uranus wants a fresh start.  It is numero ‘0’ after all!

Expect the unexpected right now.  Something might just come to push you forward , and that just may be what is needed.  This is the energy of this New Moon.

Remember what is most important is that Uranus will always leave you better than you are found, and you will always land on your feet.  Don’t be afraid to take some chances.  This time it is supported.

If you really take the time to stop and check in with your soul, you will find the answers that you are seeking.  Clarity will come.

Do not worry about what everyone else is saying , doing.  Do not worry what others will think.

It is so easy to get caught up in that trap but in reality – who really cares?

We are only awarded a short time in this lifetime, so you may as well be true to yourself and make it count.  This is not always easy but it is so freeing.

Be real with yourself, be real with others.  This is where true freedom begins.

Make sure to make some time and create some space for quiet reflection.

Look at all you wish to accomplish and make a plan for yourself.  New Moons are all about planting seeds and manifesting. This is a very nice New Moon which is supporting us all at the moment so take advantage!
