Today, we have a watery Full Moon in the sign of Pisces.

This occurs at 3:02 AM EST.  So technically tomorrow.

We are all highly sensitive under the influence of this Full Moon.

We are more emotional, more weepy than normal, dreams are prophetic, psychic experiences enhanced.

*If you are a Pisces, a Pisces rising, or especially, a Pisces Moon expect to really feel the ripples of this Full Moon.

Neptune is also conjunct this Full Moon in Pisces, really confusing an already confusing time!

Remember- Neptune rules Pisces, the underworld.  Intuition, illusion, boundaries and confusion.  This is Neptune.

With a Full Moon in Pisces, the sign ruled by Neptune, we receive a double-dose of mysticism, of magic.

Our compassionate nature is enhanced.  We develop our spiritual gifts (or at least the desire is there to do so).

We release, we surrender.

We are also still coming off the throes of the Solar Eclipse that occurred on 8/21, lets not forget.  Everything is heightened.  The energy is still quite intense.

We are all exhausted.

Do not feel dejected if after the Solar Eclipse nothing has seemed to shift for you.  These shifts are often gradual, and you may not see them for awhile.  The Solar Eclipse was also a New Moon, a time to make plans for the future.

Emotions run high.  Intuition is sharp but with Neptune so prominent, be careful of intuition vs. paranoia, as it it will be very easy to switch over to the dark side due to fear.

Neptune and this Full Moon shine a light on our vices.  How we cope (or do not cope ) with our emotions and our issues.  Do you drink your problems away?  Drown your sorrows in a bag of Oreo cookies?  Smoke a pack of cigarettes?  

Really look at this.  If something needs to be corrected, now is the time to get started. Any unhealthy vice under Neptune’s influence can quickly become a problem so take care.

There is a lot of illusion going on right now.  It is time to cut through that and discern the wheat from the chafe in your life.  Make adjustments accordingly.

Saturn, the planet we refer to as the ‘Father’ has his hand in this watery Full Moon as well.  There is no room for escapism while Saturn is present.  He demands we do our karmic work no matter how difficult or frustrating.

Pisces (and Neptune) are all about the intangible, the underworld.  Opposing energy is at work here.

Saturn needs evidence while Neptune relies on hunches.

Saturn says ‘show me’.  Neptune says ‘trust me’.

We feel it, we sense it, but yet we cannot see it.  Trusting your own intuition is key.  That is what this Full Moon in Pisces is all about.  The dreams that we possess in our own heart and soul and taking ownership of our own abilities to find the truth.

The Sun in Virgo is asking us to show up and figure out the ways we wish to be of service.  Mr. serious Saturn right alongside does not let up , as we struggle between all of this opposing energy.

Especially if you are not used to just trusting your own instincts to lead you where you need to go.  

The most important thing to remember at this time is to listen to your heart.  To trust yourself.  To really go deep and figure out where you wish to be and how you wish to feel.  Pisces feels.  Honor your soul and your feelings. 

Full Moons are a time for release.  Release what is no longer working for you.  Emotions, people, places, situations.

Happy September!

Let’s talk about where the planets are right now, and what you can expect.

Forewarned is forearmed, and when you know what’s going on ‘up-there’ it truly helps you navigate ‘down here’.

Work with the energy, not against it and all will be well.

We are in the time of Virgo, where earth energy abounds.

Most of the planets have shifted from fire energy (leo) into earth energy (virgo).

Normally this brings a level of common sense and practicality, looking before we leap, setting facts straight, etc.

Unfortunately, the energy is primed to feel anything but grounded this month.

Well…..not entirely true!

If you are an artist of sorts, a highly spiritual person or even a mystic, than this is a good month filled with opportunity due to some high spiritual energy that planet Neptune is bringing in.

There is a lot of inspiration by what we feel versus what we see and hear.  This is Neptune.

If you are a very pragmatic person that appreciates the natural order and rhythm of life, well, you may be sourly disappointed as Neptune can cloud things and bring a sense of disillusionment.

Why?

Let’s discuss the semi-challenging aspects first.

Most of the planets are also opposing Neptune right now, including the Sun.

Neptune in astrology, is referred to as the “God Of The Sea”.

Neptune is the ruler of Pisces and represents inspiration, psychic receptivity, confusion and illusion.

Where Neptune is present, there is bound to be some level of confusion.

Oh, and by the way, Neptune has been retrograde since 6/16 and will not move direct again until 11/22!

In simplest terms, this means that Neptune’s influence is exacerbated ten-fold right now.

Navigating through murky waters and using your inner compass to guide the way is the name of the game this month.

On the positive side, Mercury stations direct in Virgo today, 9/5- and Mars falls right behind as it shifts into Virgo.

This means that things are beginning to move along again.  

We do not feel as stuck, and there’s a noticeable planetary sigh of relief.  For now.

Mercury is the ‘Messenger of The Gods’.

Mercury rules communication and travel- computers and all technology.

You will notice that these areas of your life are clearing up at this time.

Communication with others seems less spotty, travel delays lift, and your phone and computer begin to love you again.  This is Mercury direct.

Mercury moving forward is bringing us some slight reprieve.

Still, watch your words and actions as emotions are high.  Think before you speak and especially before you act!

Be kind, be vigilant- pay attention.

Wednesday, tomorow,  9/6 we have a Full Moon in sensitive and dreamy Pisces. Remember all this Neptune!

Try and stay in reality as it will be easy to create a false one right now.  Be back tomorrow with a New Moon read.

This post was inspired by two of my good friends who I recently vacationed with- Janet and Siobhan.

Caution: long post ahead!

We had a blast and it was a well needed and deserved recharge for all of us.

*I’m digressing for a moment but never underestimate the power of the ocean, good friends, and allowing yourself to unwind!  Your soul needs it- I came back feeling like a different person!  I tend to not let myself have a lot of downtime like most of you reading this.

But it is very necessary and more importantly, very therapeutic!

Back to the food- I cooked every night for all of us with the exception of the one night that we went out.

I love to cook, so to me it’s not a chore.  I truly enjoy it and they enjoyed it more which makes me happy!

They were impressed by how tasty the ‘healthier’ side of these foods/treats were and informed me I needed to add this to my blog, so here you go 😉

I am not only a spiritual being and healer, I am also a certified Health & Wellness coach.

The above image says it best.  There are low vibrational foods (refined sugar, alcohol, loads of Cows Milk Dairy, refined carbohydrates such as bread and pasta , grains which are very high inflammatory).

Then there’s the high vibrational foods- (vegatables, fruit in moderation, high quality protein, high quality fats such as coconut and avocado).

Remember- you are what you eat!  

When your body is filled with more high vibrational foods, well, you will vibrate higher! Your personal channel is more clear.  You won’t have brain fog, will not be as lethargic or as irritable. This is a fact!

Quite simply: I love food!  More importantly, I love nourishing foods- but they have to taste good.

Keep in mind, I’m just like the rest of you.

I love wine and cheese. (C’mon, I’m a true italian girl)!

I eat red meat ( grass-fed and grass finished when I can).

I love ice cream (I make my own though, super easy and much more healthy)

Being spiritual does not mean I crunch on sunflower seeds, only eat veggies, do yoga all day long and meditate saying ‘OMMM’ repeatedly.

It means that I honor my body and my soul enough to eat intuitively- to feed my soul what it needs, to do away with what I don’t need.  I teach others how to do this as well.

If I want a glass of red wine (my kryptonite) I have one-  (or two, or three, ha)!  But I make sure it’s not the night before a long day of sessions because I know my body and my soul.

Especially, when I’m away from my daily routine, I will let myself have a little more fun than normal, but I still try to keep it relatively healthy.  I could say  “eh, who cares?  I’m on vacation”!

The reality is- I do care, and you should too!  I travel often, and quite frankly, I feel better mind, body & soul when I keep up with my routine as closely as possible and stick with more high vibrational foods.

It’s not about being ‘perfect’.  It’s about being conscious and aware.

I say this consistently.  What we feed our body should also feed our soul.  That goes for the not-so-good stuff as well!

Clean eating while healthy, can still be fun!

Here’s a few things to try before the summer ends. These are all super tasty, but also, not bad for you and extremely simple to make.

These were used last week while I was away and enjoyed so much, that I felt I should share. (Well, Janet & Siobhan felt I should share, HA)!

We are talking about a healthier version of Mexican Night.  Everyone loves Mexican food!

Healthier does not mean less tasty.

Disclaimer: this is simply MY perspective and insight from what I have studied, but also, how I have reacted to the food(s).  Take what I say with a grain of margarita-salt, however, if you use these swaps and like the results, please reach out and let me know!

Fajitas and of course Margaritas?!  What’s not to love?

Margaritas first, of course.

We all love a good margarita now and then right?  Especially when it’s summer time.

The problem with this is that most margarita mixes (yes even the healthier ones) have a lot of added gunk like sugar and high fructose corn syrup, just to name a few.  Or even worse (sorry for those that ingest this, but Splenda).

*I personally feel that artificial sweeteners are the devil.  Furthermore, they are foreign to our bodies and therefore, very difficult to process if at all.  Think about that!

I  don’t know about you but if I drink a margarita that is a mix, I end up with horrible acid reflux and a sour stomach!  This is not me being a ‘food snob’, it’s about the truth of how that gunk makes me feel!  The cleaner you eat on the regular, the worse you will feel the effects when you don’t.

So, this is what I did.

*This will make three hearty Margaritas*

One bag of frozen fruit (I used Mango for this round).

A couple of shots of Tequila.

Some fresh squeezed lime juice, and a handful of fresh mint (if you like the flavor of mint otherwise omit).

Good quality Sea Salt for the rim (good luck getting it to stick.  I got frustrated and just added it to the drinks and it was just as delicious).

* If you like the salt, I highly recommend pink himalayan sea salt, which is high quality.  A little goes a long way, so use sparingly!

Blend it up in your Vitamix, Ninja, or whatever tool you use- and waala!  A yummy, tasty frozen treat!  Other than the Tequila, that’s as non-toxic as you can get!

*The next night we used frozen Pineapple which was just as delicious, but we all preferred the Mango.

For the Fajitas…. I marinated a skirt steak in olive oil and sea salt from the night before.

I also marinated some shrimp the same way.

Chopped up some peppers, onions , zucchini and mushrooms and sauteed them in olive oil.

Instead of taco shells or fajita shells, we used romaine lettuce leaves.  *You could also use Paleo or low carb wraps that you can purchase online or at specialty grocery stores, such as Whole Foods.  These are my favorite when I don’t feel like using lettuce leaves https://shop.nucoconut.com/collections/nuco-premium-coconut-products/products/nuco-coconut-wraps-one-pack-of-five-wraps-5-count-non-organic?variant=39604734986&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI4ICBlcSB1gIVBQxpCh04PgfAEAQYASABEgLWxPD_BwE

Why not use regular tortillas , you may ask?

Tortillas are corn and grain based.  Two high pro -inflammatory foods.  Meaning in simplest, not nerdy terms- you eat them and they cause insulin spikes and inflammation in the body.

Bottom line is that there are no real health benefits to either of those ‘foods’.  I stay away from them.  I do like tortilla chips occasionally and while I will indulge (very sparingly) I will get very congested and lethargic afterwards.

Coincidence?  I think not.

With the fajitas we naturally had all of the fixings to go along with them!  The sour cream, the shredded cheese, the guacamole, the salsa.

The shell was just a lot less caloric and ‘carby’.

We were also very full and satisfied, but still felt good!

Saturn is a very important planet when it comes to astrology, yes, but it also plays a key role in our spiritual development this go around.

It has been retrograde since April 6th of this year.

Today, 8/25, Saturn goes direct-  returns to his perch.  Yes, in my mind, Saturn is a ‘he’.

Saturn is fascinating.

Why?  Because Saturn is our Karma.

Saturn is the keeper of time.

Let me break down how Saturn operates.

Saturn presents challenges to us which force us to step up and grow up.

These challenges will affect everyone differently, and the lessons will vary dependant on each persons unique soul path.

*The moment you took your first breath-  that is how this is determined.  Time of exact birth, which is your soul stamp.  This is how the blueprint of your soul or ‘birth chart’ is set.

This is never comfortable nor easy.  In fact, these lessons are often quite painful.

Saturn is the teacher, it’s the restrictions and limitations we have brought with us into this lifetime.

Saturn is all about discipline, learning, clarity and destiny.  When you learn your Saturn in your own chart and how to work with it, it can change your life.

When Saturn is transiting heavily somewhere in your personal chart, it can really kick your ass.  I would know, I’ve had it prevalent for almost two years!

Rest assured, if you do your work, Saturn ‘gifts’ you upon his departure (so I’ve been told- I will keep you posted on that one)!

Apparently when you do your soul work, you receive a nice, positive Karma nugget from the universe.

One of my favorite astrologers, Deborah Silverman, taught me that Saturn trumps everything in the birth chart because it never goes away.  I firmly believe this theory.

Working with your Saturn can change your life.

Instead of putting all of the emphasis on the “big three” in astrology (Sun,Moon & Ascendant) of a persons birth chart, I now include Saturn- every time!  So now it’s the ‘big four’.

There are many lessons with Saturn.  Saturn is serious.

So today Saturn turns direct.

What this means is that things begin to move forward again.

Frustrations can mount for some people at this time, while for others Saturn turning direct is quite a relief.

Projects get going, karma gets sorted, specific areas of our lives are about to receive a well needed remodel.

For those that are not afraid of hard work, it’s like a breath of fresh air.

You’ve processed and beat yourself up enough while Saturn was retrograde, and now it’s time to act.

Saturn direct is like the ”wind beneath your wings’ , moving you along where you may have been stuck while Saturn was retrograde.

For those that are not content to learn the lessons and get down and dirty, well, this can be tough.

It’s time to get real.  No more coasting while Saturn is direct.

While Saturn was retrograde, that made five planets retrograde!  Now there are only four, the major being Mercury.

Take your time and examine where you are, where you are going, and what you still wish to accomplish.

Then chart your course and don’t be afraid to dig deep- Saturn is on your side now.
