This week starts off slow and steady yet the intensity begins to climb around Wednesday, 10/27.
We are still under quite a few retrograde planets, the most significant being Mars and Mercury.
Mars can having us feeling irritated and edgy, while Mercury messes with our ability to give and receive information…correctly.
Aside from that, as a country we are moving towards election day and collectively it feels frazzled and chaotic. If you allow yourself to ride the waves of ebb and flow? You should be ok.
This Saturday 10/31, the most mystical holiday is occurring…Halloween or the original name for it , which is Hallows Eve.
Hallows Eve also coincides with the Gaelic Festival Samhain (pronounced Sow-In).
Samhain is the festival that celebrates our departed loves ones, ancestors and anyone else in spirit that you wish to honor. It is noted that at this time (10/31-11/1) the veil between the two worlds is the thinnest.
This is the strongest time to commune with the dearly departed if you wish to do so and are up for trying.
Most significant is that on 10/31 as of 10:34 AM EST, we have a Full Blue Moon in the earth sign of Taurus.
Why is this a Blue Moon? This is the 2nd Full Moon of the month which is quite rare, hence the saying ‘once in a blue moon’.
Despite spooky stories and backdrops that show bright Full Moons for Halloween, this is also a rare treat. We will not see another Full Moon on actual Halloween for 18/19 years!
This month is book-ended by two potent Full Moons…10/1 was a Full Moon in fiery Aries, and the month closes out with a Full Moon in earthy Taurus.
Further exaggerating the ‘expect the unexpected’ mantra, this Full Moon is sitting almost exact with Uranus, the planet of change and disruption. So things may just go bump in the night adding to the spookiness…or, they may not. Â
Either way? Remain open minded and open hearted as change is often a very good thing, once it stabilizes.
Rather than worrying incessantly, how about recognizing the opportunities and abundant possibilities that change can bring into our lives?
Taurus is a grounded energy, and the Moon is our soul and our emotion…the Moon does very well in homey Taurus, so it simply might just be our resistance to change that feels pronounced.
Let’s strive to harness this emotionally intense Full Moon energy by getting clear about what is holding us back. Reflecting upon what it is that needs to be released in the form of habits, projects, relationships, behaviors etc.
By the light of the Full Moon (if you are up for this sort of thing) honor your loved ones in spirit….ask for signs, ask for guidance. They are your energetic cheerleaders and will help in any way they can.
Take care of your physical body, as Taurus is very in touch with the bodily rhythms.
Go outside for a walk in the grass and indulge in your senses, barefoot if you wish (Taurus).
Submerge yourself in water, get close to it to hear the sounds, write in your journal, get deep (Scorpio).
The Moon is unconscious, impressionable and quite sensitive- and during Scorpio season we feel a lot of emotions.
Around this time the past comes back to ‘haunt’ us ….so pay close attention to what comes up for you.
Have a spook-tecular week and weekend!

Much Love,
