Saturday 5/4, 6:45 PM EST- we have an earthy and serene New Moon in the sign of the Bull, Taurus.
A New Moon marks the beginning of the lunar cycle, the movement of the moon through its different phases.
New Moons are a time of new beginnings. The beginning of a new cycle, a time to initiate plans and projects, get things moving, a fresh start. Abundance typically surrounds this energy.
The Sun aligns with the Moon in the sky when it’s a New Moon meaning, that they are in the same sign –Taurus.
Under the grounded energy of Taurus, the emphasis of this New Moon is what makes us feel stable and secure versus what actually contributes to our stability and security.
Yes, there is a difference and under this energy it will be easier to separate the two with conscious awareness.
Alterations can and will be made as necessary.
Planet Uranus, the ‘great awakener’ has just re-entered the sign of Taurus where it will stay until 2026. This is a big deal and something we have not experienced in eight decades.
What this means is that the winds of change are upon us, both collectively and individually – it’s all about keeping the faith and having trust.
Remember that Taurus more than any other sign, as fixed-earth, truly gets complacent with their place in the world.
Uranus is the planet that shakes it all up…..so let’s think about how uncomfortable things may and can get at times. Ultimately, it is for the greater good. Let us not forget that Uranus is an agent for liberating change, and will always leave us better than we are found.
Taurus is ruled by planet Venus- the planet of love, beauty, and money.
In these areas of life, do we have all that we need? Or are we getting too caught up in what we simply want?
Are we utilizing all of our natural resources? This refers to the resources we have within us, as well as what the earth (Taurus) provides for us.
The earthy sign of Taurus is all about nature, mother earth. This is a great time to connect to your soul while outside, soaking in all of the natural beauty that nature has to offer.
Go for a walk in the woods, get near some water, walk barefoot in the grass and connect to the earth. All of these things will help clear your mind and set some intentions during Taurus season, but particularly while under this New Moon energy.
As Taurus rules money and New Moons are times of growth and abundance, look to your personal financial situation to make positive changes – to keep promoting growth and expand upon what you have.
Perhaps you are spending frivolously and now is a time to get a real plan in place for the future. Perhaps you don’t spend on creature comforts at all and it’s time to loosen up your purse strings and enjoy yourself.
Look to how you call upon all of your resources. Are you creatively and actively searching for, and implementing better ways to make it all work? Are there people and circumstances that can be helpful to you at this time? If so it is a good time to reach out, to stay in touch.
Under this New Moon you are being asked to have faith- to trust that all is where it should be at the moment and if it is not, you may experience a healthy shake-up, a break through.
There is quite a bit of ‘gnarly’ planetary activity right now so yes, while this New Moon is filled with abundance, intuition, positivity and creativity, there is also an element of anxiety and fear that is lurking beneath the surface.
