Here we are mid-month, cruising through February.
All planets are currently in forward motion, meaning that we are gaining traction.
Momentum builds as everything seems to be pushing ahead, ‘everything’ , being the operative word.
It would be foolish to try and ignore the state of the world at the moment, so allow me to reiterate: it’s now more important than ever to protect your energy, to tend to your own garden.
When it comes to what you are feeding yourself emotionally, physically, spiritually- this is not the time to engage in risky behaviors, or arguing just for the sake of it (particularly with strangers on the internet).
Remember that there is a mass awakening/shift taking place on this planet, and no matter what our beliefs, we all feel this energetically!
*Here’s a post I wrote about the spiritual awakening process, also known as ‘Ascension’, if you are interested.
I mention this because the astrology of 2022 is quite interesting, and most certainly volatile at times…yet also, quite liberating. So while it is not as restrictive as 2020 and 2021….it is, in different ways which we will break down month-by-month.
Remember: there is a process that we need to go through, to take us to that renewal phase that we all crave! It is in the breakdown where we can have the breakthrough.
February 16th, we experience a Full Moon in Leo.
A Full Moon happens when the Sun is opposite the Moon.
This highlights the polarities (opposing forces) in our lives.
These polarities are of an emotional, physical and spiritual nature. It can be one area or all three, and each Full Moon will feel different based on the sign and planetary aspects surrounding the Moon.
Awareness and emotion reach their peak and are heightened around Full Moons. This is why we feel more edgy and anxious around these times, sometimes not even being able to sleep.
The Moon rules our subconscious, the raw emotions that lurk underneath the surface.
Everything comes to a head under this energy. There is a tug of war between head and heart.
The Sun is in the sign of Aquarius (Air) while the Moon sits opposite the sky in the sign of Leo (Fire).
Both Aquarius and Leo are fixed energies, meaning that they are determined and they seek to keep everything level.
Leo is the sign that rules over the heart, literally and energetically. When we are living out of our heart space we feel more courageous and authentic, which are the Sunny traits of Leo the Lion.
Some shadow traits of Leo are that there can be too much ego, even an air of arrogance. Remember: Leo is ruled by the Sun, and the Sun can also burn us if we spend too much time there! Especially if we don’t wear our shades!
Think of Aquarius as our shades 😎.
Aquarius is the opposite sign of Leo, all about group consciousness and forward thinking. There is a certain detachment that can take place with Aquarian energy.
Where Leo is quite passionate, Aquarius can be as well, but there is an objective rationale behind the motivations of Aquarius. Their passions are more focused on what we can accomplish, not so much the heart-centered, gushy stuff.
Under this energy, we strive to strike the balance between the two.
What is authentically true and honest for you? Where are you not living out of your heart space? Where and what must released from your heart, from your reality? What are you passionate about and what do you truly believe in?
This Full Moon takes place on 2/16 at 11:56 AM ET at 16° of Leo.
Amongst other astrology, Mars and Venus are making their yearly, magical debut shortly before this Full Moon.
Mars is the ultimate masculine, Venus is the ultimate Feminine. Leo is the sign that rules over the heart and is quite passionate and focused on what it wants.
Valentines Day falls in this mix as well… relationships are the stars of this alignment, no pun intended.
Relationships of all forms take center stage: platonic, professional, family, romantic… with a strong emphasis on romantic.
I feel like this post has now become a novel, so I will end it here.
