Full Moon In Libra Today- Where Is Your Power?

Today/tonight as of 9:43 PM EST we experience our 1st of two Full Moons in the sign of balance and partnership, the sign of Libra.

*If you are interested in how this will personally affect you, look to your personal birth chart to where you have Libra.  This will be the area that these next two Full Moons will place the most emphasis on.  As there are two Full Moons in Libra in a row,  this is very powerful.

In yesterdays post there is more info regarding Aries season, the Spring Equinox and the Full Moon which is all happening on 3/20.

I wanted to place a little more emphasis on the symbolism of this Full Moon as it is very important and cathartic for all.

When a Full Moon occurs, the Sun is literally opposite the Moon in the sky.  This causes an emphasis on head and body (Sun) and the heart and soul (Moon).

The Solar and Lunar energies are having a ‘cosmic dance-off’  and this affects us spiritually.  The more sensitive you are, the more you feel this.

Something is brewing.  You feel rumbles of change beneath the surface, yet it produces a bit of anxiety because where is this coming from?

This energy is the Aries/Libra axis.

Remember, these signs are opposites.  Their energy is polarizing and we must find a way to integrate both.

Aries rules the 1st house in astrology, this is the house of the self.  The house of the ascendant, our outer layer, our topical personality.

Aries is a fire sign, and all about the self.  Yes, Aries can be selfish.

Ruled by Mars, this fire sign knows how to go after what it wants and what it wants may or may not be what is right for others.  This is both positive and negative.

Then we have Libra, represented by the scales of balance.  Libra can be selfless.

This sign is under the element of Air and likes to play fair.  Even though there can be a bit of manipulation attached to this sign, at the end of the day Libra does not want to appear greedy.

Libra rules the 7th house in astrology.  This is the house of partnership and if we want to be technical, it can also indicate open enemies.

Libra is all about the other.

Aries is all about the self and Libra is all about the other.

Let’s not forget that Chiron, the ‘wounded healer’ is also in Aries, sitting tightly with the Sun and Full Moon.

What does this mean?  More emphasis on the self, more emphasis on where we feel we are falling short.

It’s an emotional time for sure, and the spotlight is on our most intimate relationships.

Let’s look at the ways we function in our relationships- the way we inadvertently hurt ourselves and others.

Aries says “where am I being selfish” or on the other side of the spectrum:

“where do I need to put my foot down and start becoming more selfish”?

Libra says “where am I giving all of my power away”?

“Am I being too passive and just saying yes to keep the peace”?  Or “where can I afford to be a little more kind and loving in my partnerships, where do I need to play fair and bend a little”?

While it is great to be flexible and understanding in our relationships, it can also create resentment inside if we do not check in with how it makes us truly feel.

Until we heal ourselves (Chiron/Aries) we cannot possibly feel fulfilled with another (Libra).

After all, the most important relationship we will ever have is the one to self.  Think about it.

Keep this in mind around this Full Moon as strong emotions are likely to be coming up to the surface.  This is not to hurt us, rather it is to heal us.

This Full Moon is shining the flashlight on the ways in which we function in our relationships.

Libra is all about balancing the scales.

Where can you afford some balance?

Full Moons are a release point.  This is a time of acceptance, then release.

Recognizing that the more things change, the more they stay the same.

Only we (self)  are the co-creators of our destiny.

If we do not like where we are, if we do not like how we are functioning- we always have the power to change it.

It does not matter if it worked in the past, it is the present that counts.

So, where can you be more selfish and more selfless?
