Can you believe we are halfway through the year already?
So much has been learned, so many bricks have been laid, so much still to be done! 2018 is the year of the builder, that’s for sure.
Take inventory of all you have accomplished up to this point and do not get discouraged or compare yourself to anybody else. We are all on our own independent journey!
Today, 6/13 as of 3:40 PM EST we have a pretty nice New Moon in the sign of the twins, of duality, Gemini.
New Moons represent new beginnings.
A New Moon marks the beginning of the lunar cycle, the movement of the moon through its different phases.
It is also a time of initiation, fresh energy and manifestation. It is a great time for a new start, a time to begin projects of all kinds.
The Sun aligns with the Moon in the sky when it’s a New Moon.
This New Moon falls at 22 degrees of Gemini.
Gemini is a sign that falls under the element of Air, which is mental.
Recognizing and becoming extra conscious of the way we treat ourselves, what we think of ourselves, the way we speak to ourselves, is of utmost importance under this energy.
After all, what we think we literally become.
Gemini is ruled by planet Mercury known as ‘Messenger of The Gods’.
Mercury rules communication and Gemini is chatty- so get out there and socialize if you wish, but keep away from gossip.
Everyone is extra sensitive under this energy. It is best to take this strong energy and harness it inward. When you work on yourself, everyone benefits!
It is important to note that this particular New Moon is extra magical because it is not making any important aspects with any of the major planets.
This literally means that anything is possible so use your powers of manifestation wisely!
This is the last New Moon before the impactful series of Eclipses begin, first one being on 7/12- again, strong energy so stay grounded!
You cannot deny that as the planets shift and the sky does its dance, our souls shake up and wake up! This is not random-just pay attention to the collective at these times and you will understand this concept more and more.
What this New Moon is doing however, is making a fortunate aspect with fixed star, Mintaka.
Mintaka is a fixed star located in Orions Belt. Orions Belt is comprised of three bright stars- Alnitak, Alnilam and Mintaka.
I really needed to mention this because yes, I am a nerd with a telescope and I can tell you that virtually on every clear night, you can see Orions Belt. It’s three stars in a row in the sky, and one of those stars, is Mintaka as shown above.
Mintaka is known to lend protection and good fortune to all. I say that sounds pretty nice, doesn’t it? We can all use a little good fortune.
Mintaka keeps us vigilant, alert and aware. Both Mercury and Gemini (all about communication and information) love to stay on top of events, love to acquire more and more knowledge while dispersing as much of it as they can.
Use this powerful energy to your advantage!
Pick up that foreign language, learn a new trade, read and write more. This energy really supports learning and digesting.
Remember that Gemini is a twin so splitting your energy between topics/situations is quite likely, so be sure to rest!
Take the time to be with yourself, sit with yourself, quiet your mind.
The Sun and Moon are both in Gemini right now, a sign that loves chatter, but you must sit still in order to tap in to, and acknowledge, the wisdom of your soul. Your soul always knows the way, the challenge is to silence the mind.
This is Mercury, this is Gemini, this is this New Moon.
Do not be afraid to take center stage in your own life. Pay attention to your thoughts and remember: where attention goes energy flows!
