Friday 12/23, we have our final New Moon of 2022.

This New Moon takes place at 5:17 AM ET, at 1° of Capricorn.

A New Moon marks the beginning of the lunar cycle, the movement of the moon through its different phases.

New Moons are a time of new beginnings.  The beginning of a new cycle, a time to initiate plans and projects, get things moving, a fresh start. 

Abundance surrounds this energy.

New Moons are auspicious times filled with promise and opportunity. Just like the Moon, we realign and begin anew, a new cycle is born.

The Sun aligns with the Moon in the sky when it’s a New Moon meaning, that they are in the same sign –Capricorn.

Capricorn is an Earth sign ruled by the planet of discipline, hard work and structure, Saturn. Capricorn is also under the modality of Cardinal meaning, they initiate, they get things going.

At the time of this New Moon, we have a stellium in the sign of Capricorn, meaning: Capricorn energy is enhanced. The energy of hard work, motivation and determination is highlighted. Think of this New Moon as setting ourselves up for success in 2023.

New beginnings and opportunities surround us, but we must open our eyes and our hearts in order to grasp them. *Hint: look to the part of your birth chart that contains Aries, as this will give you an idea as to where you may experience growth and opportunity from now through May.

This is definitely a New Moon that you want to work with. Harness the powers of manifestation, possibility and potential.

Here is a quick and simple ritual you can do:

Set aside some quiet time for contemplation at some point between the 21st-25th of December, when this Moon’s energy is the strongest

Cleanse yourself and your space. Take a salt bath or a shower, or simply wash your hands and brush your teeth for fresh energy.

If you use sage, light some and cleanse. Put on some music if you wish, and get a piece of paper or your journal.

Write out what you will manifest over the next six month. Say it with conviction, as it is already yours.
