Every time that the Sun switches signs (roughly every 29-31 days), the overall collective energy shifts with it.

Today 10/23,  the Sun officially leaves the balanced scales of Libra, and enters the still yet intense waters of Scorpio.

Scorpio season always asks us to go deep down and well, dive.  Dive into the underworld, the hidden,  To get down to the heart of matters, get down to the truth.

This sign and its influence will tend to rip us open, sometimes break us -in order for us to see things as they really are.  Not how we want them to be , or have been pretending them to be.

The veil is also thinner at this time of year, especially with Halloween right around the corner.  Mysticism is in the air.  We feel more connected to our intuition and spirit activity is stronger.  It’s a great time to get a reading. 😉

Scorpio rules the 8th house in astrology.  This is the house of death and rebirth as complete transformation takes place here.  This is also the house of sex and inheritances- an intense house and sign for sure!

The tarot card that rules Scorpio is number XIII (13)- Death

Scorpio is ruled by planet Pluto, and Plutos main function is to command permanence. 

Pluto chips away at us until there is nothing left, and this is typically a slower process.  Pluto destroys and destructs, only so it can rebuild again, and come back stronger.

Death here does not have to be literal, and often it is not.  It is simply speaking to ‘out with the old and in with the new’.  New life cannot emerge until the old has been killed.

Death is permanent, and when we see this card, change is imminent.  Things will never be the way they once were and guess what?  This is usually a good thing.

The keyword for Scorpio is transform.

Scorpio falls under the element of Water, and is very perceptive, emotional.

Scorpio is also a fixed sign, which means that they are firmly planted in their position and not easily swayed by the masses.  Perhaps a wee-bit stubborn as well as their other fixed-sign counterparts (Taurus, Leo and Aquarius).

At their most positive Scorpios are loyal, tenacious, deep, passionate and brave.  Intuitive and fantastic problem solvers they are, as they like to uncover and expose.  They are very focused and ambitious as well.

When operating on their lower end of expression, (as all signs do at times), they can be jealous, secretive, vindictive, competitive, petty and downright nasty.

We are all soul-searching at this time.  Things are coming up for everyone, make no mistake.  There is a huge shift occurring and we are all feeling it in some area of our lives.

There has been a whole-lotta Scorpio energy these past few weeks, which will continue until the end of November.

We also have a Full Moon in Taurus tomorrow,  10/24 which is really heightening our emotions.
