‘As above so below’.
Tomorrow- Thursday, 2/15 we have a New Moon/ Partial Solar Eclipse in the sign of Aquarius.
New Moons represent new beginnings.
Technically speaking, the New Moon marks the beginning of the lunar cycle, the movement of the moon through its different phases. The Sun aligns with the Moon in the sky when it’s a New Moon.
It is a time when creativity peaks, as we desire to manifest the new- and it is the perfect time to do so.
A Solar Eclipse is pretty much the same as a New Moon, but it is more powerful due to the fact that the Moon darkens the Sun.
Being that this is a partial Solar Eclipse however, most of the Sun will still be visible.
This is an extremely impactful time astrologically speaking because the Sun is conjunct the Moon.
This is very favorable and means that any and all possibilities are on the table! Magic can truly happen but you must be an active participant to setting the wheels in motion.
It is important to mention that the time in between Eclipses is the time you really want to pay attention to, the time that is the most potent.
The time I am speaking of is 1/31 (which was our Lunar Eclipse/Full Moon in Leo) straight through 8/11/18 (which is our final Solar Eclipse of the year).
During these times it is important that we all do our soul work, that we focus on ourselves and what’s really going on in our reality. What we need to work on , work through, shift and/or , let go of.
Anything that comes up for you, anything that appears in your energy field during this time- any circumstances , situations, people. Any and all situations that are calling your attention, begging to be acknowledged are really where the energy needs to flow and it will, if you allow things to unfold naturally.
This particular New Moon/ Partial Solar Eclipse in Aquarius is centered around the South Node.
The South Node in astrology represents our past, where we are familiar and cozy yet it is not the most instrumental for our growth. It is also a place that is obvious to us so all in all we are very well aware of where we need to make adjustments. This does not feel intrusive or negative either!
On the contrary, it is a breath of fresh air, a welcome change.
This is about detachment. Objective detachment which brings us clarity and the ability to move forward with confidence.
This is a time when you truly want to examine your typical patterns and behaviors and ask yourself: “Is this really who I am”? “Is this where I truly wish to be”? It is time to realign and reinvent yourself, to think about the bigger picture. Also a time to reevaluate your words and your actions and how they affect others.
This New Moon/Solar Eclipse is pushing us towards important communication with others, since it is sitting tightly with planet Mercury.
If there are imbalances in any of your important relationships- whether it be friend, partner, co-worker or family member- this eclipse will have you openly communicating your thoughts/needs. In doing so, some bonds will become stronger, while others may weaken and dissipate as truths come to the table.
It’s ok, this is meant to happen. It is time to get real about who and what we surround ourselves with. Honesty is key.
Asteroid Juno (the marriage partner) is also impacting this New Moon/Eclipse which simply reinforces the notion that communications are likely centered around and with our nearest and dearest.
We may find ourselves joyfully reminiscing about the past, or arguing about where we stand, who and what we stand for.
All in all, this New Moon/Eclipse is a breath of fresh air and brings in the opportunity for change and positive growth. As long as you are willing to be as open and honest as possible both with yourself and with others. The most important relationship you have is with yourself, after all.
We will not experience a Full Moon this month, only a New Moon. February is truly a month of creation.
