All of 2021 we are under the aspect of Saturn in Aquarius and Uranus in Taurus. These two signs of Aquarius and Taurus are making a square aspect all year, even into 2022. Squares create conflict and produce tension as they resolve to work it out.

Saturn represents the old, the tried and true structures in which we abide by. In Aquarius which is a fixed air sign, Saturn is represented with innovative ways to make positive changes for the future. Aquarius is all about the modern, thinking ahead. Science, technology, humanitarian ideals: these areas are all Aquarius’s domain.

Uranus represents the new, the unconventional ways in which we redo the ‘norm’.

Ironically (or not as it is all connected) Uranus is the modern day ruler of Aquarius, so familiarity does not breed contempt here. Aquarius wants change and will pull Saturn along once he shows him how good change can feel, how it is necessary.

With Uranus, anything goes as he seeks to change it all regardless of the why or how. Often times with Uranus, it’s the lightning bolt that strikes suddenly (metaphorically) changing it all with or without warning or provocation. Often this is just what is needed but it is while in the aftermath that the gold is recognized.

Uranus is in Taurus until 2025.

Taurus is a sign that is fixed earth. Have you ever tried to get a Bull to move when it is comfortable? Taurus is not so cozy in the electric home of Uranus but alas, he’s there .

Taurus get’s comfortable easily and likes what is familiar and constant. Uranus delivers jolts while he visits Taurus’s home and this can be quite uncomfortable. Again this occurs both on the personal and societal levels.

With Saturn/Uranus square energy all year, there’s a promise of change, of growth, of surprises at times. Overall? We need it!
