The Sun leaves the analytical, practical earth sign of Virgo and enters the diplomatic & intellectual air sign of Libra. As the Sun journeys through each sign (about 30 days or so), the collective tone & energy mimics the traits and circumstances of said sign.
Libra falls under the element of air and is cool, calm, detached to an extent and quite intelligent. All of our air signs in fact (Aquarius & Gemini being the other two) are strong of the mind, the intellect.
The symbol for Libra is the scales of balance, and balance is most certainly a key word when describing this sign! Not only does Libra strive for, and typically embody the trait of balance, they also seek harmony and fairness above all else.
Libra is ruled by planet Venus, and governs over our relationships of all kinds. Expect these areas to be highlighted under Libra season.
