8/30 6:37 AM we experience a New Moon in the sign of mutable and earthy Virgo.

A New Moon marks the beginning of the lunar cycle, the movement of the moon through its different phases.

New Moons are a time of new beginnings.  The beginning of a new cycle, a time to initiate plans and projects, get things moving, a fresh start.  

Abundance surrounds this energy.

New Moons are auspicious times filled with promise and opportunity.

The Sun aligns with the Moon in the sky when it’s a New Moon meaning, that they are in the same sign –Virgo.

This New Moon is all about cleansing our space physically, emotionally and spiritually, to create room for growth.

We make order out of chaos, we restructure our foundations to make way for improvement.

Virgo is a logical and analytical sign, rooted in reality (earth) and often critical both of self and of others.

This sign is intuitive and impressional, yet can remain detached in its quest for knowledge and meaning.

This New Moon energy is very earth-oriented with eight (8) planets in the earth element, one (1) in water, and one (1) in fire.

The possibilities are endless.  Creation is strong and practical,  giving way to deeper meaning.

We are lacking the air element at this time and we have an over-emphasis on earth.

This means that sound logic and manifestation are present.  We analyze yes (air), but we do also (earth).

There could also be some anger and hastiness present as Mars is sitting tightly with this New Moon.

As if Virgo needs another reason to snap or criticize at this time.

Venus is very present here lending love and sweetness to her natural, masculine counter-part, Mars.

This will definitely aid in keeping anger and hostility at bay, keeping this a very positive and uplifting energy.

These two (Venus and Mars) are yin and yang, opposites that come together to make a whole, to balance everything out.  Therefore, any friction that Mars can and will produce, if funneled properly, Venus can really sweeten the deal.

With all of this earth energy and the fact that we are beginning a new lunar cycle, these next 28 days or so are fantastic for cleaning up our space, our lives, our heart.

Declutter is the theme.

Relationships are a main focus right now.

If things are going well, this time can feel even better allowing you to feel even closer to your beloved.

If things are not going so well, reality can strike and throw a curveball or two.
